Paris has just ended its week of Haute Couture shows featuring tonnes of fashion heavyweights like Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier, Roger Vivier (and his unveiling of his $30,000 pair of shoes) and Valentino just to name a few. I think one of the shows that really caught fashionista's attention is Chanel's definition of 'recession luxury'. (I told you everyone is becoming a budget tai-tai!)

In the collection there was not a single pearl nor a glimmer of glittering jewelry seen in the mainly white collection. Everything was so white it kinda reminded me of my pet rabbit, Pure. Yup, pure as snow!

He did not just stop there, Karl Lagerfeld also made the models wear head pieces made of paper, stylishly crafted origami-style by the Tokyo milliner, Kamo. Oh, let's not forget the white nails the models had!

Now, isn't that just fitting during these times?
