Hoof Shoes

I was dropping by the Fashion Police website and hold and behold, there was this picture of hoof heels! Have you ever dreamt of being some mystical creature like those in Narnia? If you do, I reckon this shoe is for you. Hmm, perhaps, those were the shoes they used in the movie. What do you reckon?

Extra Cash to spare?

If in these times of financial crisis you kinda have some spare USD30,000 lying around that you so desperately need to get rid of, why don't you spend it on this pair of exquisite Roger Vivier silk satin shoes topped with its own bird like thing. Of course, the semi precious stones on the birds head probably kinda justify the thirty thousand dollars price tag. Goodness, its more expensive than the twenty thousand dollar diamond necklace that my friend, Sammy, wore for the OSIM Uzap Superstar competition. Diamond necklace and pair of shoes, which should have a heftier price tag?

Christian Louboutin gives punk some class.

Yes, look at this gold spiked heels by Christian Louboutin. I reckon there is a reason for the spikes. I reckon its more for safety purposes. I mean, with spikes like that, you sure can beat the daylight out of anyone who tries to steal your Louboutins (or beat the hell out of the paparazzis) Perhaps, that's the reason why Victoria Beckhams wore it out for dinner!

Besides Ms Posh, Pink too has a pair after she used you for her latest music video, Sober. In an MTV's Making the Video, she said, she is definitely gonna put her spiked Louboutin in a glass showcase out of reach from everyone!

Pedro is married!

Well, not exactly. But Pedro now has a collection just for ladies! Yes, even though its debut collection is quite limited, they did try their best to provide heels, wedges, platforms and flats. But I must say, the collection are stunning. They look expensive but are pretty affordable.

Well, then again, I can't wear no heels nor wedges! So, I ended up buying this pair of shoes! They are freakishly adorable! The only problem I have is that, I can't find a matching belt nor bag to go with the grey shoes! I manage to find one from Zara and apparently it was a sale item and the last one! I did not get it cause it has a little defect on it! Sighs, I am still on a hunt for my grey bag and belt to match my shoes! I love pointed shoes and so does this friend of mine. He bought all three colours of that design! Well, he just can't wear the grey one when he is out with me! I so love my shoes! I shall be hunting for more shoes soon!

More shoes!

First up is this really weird but quite clever flip flop/ shoe. Yup, I can't decide which it is. But i guess, it makes a great transition from the wet market to the supermarket, perhaps?
DSquared2 came up with this tartan ankle boot. I love the color and all, im not so sure about the tartan. I think tartan is kinda like last year. The shoe looks very chunky and not to mention rebellious! Haha! I think i saw it in some fashion arcade game online! haha! Maybe, it will be nice for a punk concert!

More weird shoes.

So, two more shoes to add to the weird shoe collection. The first one is from Dsquared. Maybe, its not too bad. After all, it is kinda tone down. Apart from the lightning, the shoe looks kinda alright.
And the next one, I found will browsing through the internet. This has got to be the most environmentally friendly slippers ever! And, it is real grass mind you! Don,'t forget to water your slippers!

The Dutchess' shoes & The Heiress' s hobby.

It seems that more and more celebrities are turning into designers and it also seems that the Dutchess a.k.a Fergie and the Heiress a.k.a Paris Hilton are joining this flock. Yup! Who will have the better designed shoes? I am thinking Fergie. Her shoe line will only be out coming Spring but sneak peeks are already on the way. Apparently, she already launched the line for viewing and viewing I did. Judging from the shoes in the picture, I think her shoes will do quite well. And, as for Ms Hilton, Paris Hilton, her shoe line has already been launched in Las Vegas. Perhaps more gold pumps or pretty in pink sky high stilletoes? We'll see. Oh, her dress is gorgeous though.
So, who do you think will be a better shoe designer? Will the Dutchess rule the runway or will the Heiress expand her empire?

Most Common

Lately, I have been coming across this pair of liberal striped web leather loafers from Pedro almost everywhere I turn. Even though, they come in two different colors, I only see the white one around. Unfortunately, I have to admit that I have a pair of them. I bought them a loong time ago when it just came out. Back then, noone was wearing it. But now, its everywhere! Even a colleague of mine owns a pair. Then again, what is there not to like about this pair of loafers. They are simple, clean, chic and smart which can carry you from a smart casual look with like long pants and those resort breezy shirts to just a pair of shorts and a tshirt. Very versatile and extremely wearable, and not to mention, comfortable! Yes, with it going for like a mere S$70, its definitely a good buy though I'll keep it to wearing them to the supermarket now!

And since gladiator sandals are all the rage this summer, I thought I will highlight one which I love from Pedro. This Croco Cross Strap Gladiator sandals are simply majestic. Its simple, its clean, its manly and its all the craze now. Again, very versatile, shorts to pants. Perfect for summer and that very relaxed feel. Also, its from Pedro, so, you don't have to worry about bursting your budget!

What the Heel?

If you read my previous article on Chanel's show in Miami, you would have noticed the gun shaped shoe in the first picture! Here is a closer look at that pair of heels! I don't quite like it!

Well, at least the Chanel shoes gave me the idea for this little article! You see, shoes are in abundance. Ladies love their shoes and designers are always coming up with fabulous new shoes to match that every outfit but along with those spectacular art comes the slightly wackier side of the heels. As such, today, we shall have a look at shoes that makes you go, "What the heel?" Yes, I am ONLY exploring the wackier heels category. There are more shoes that just gets you scratching but that will be for another time. So, let's start with platform shoes and wedges! The first one is from Alessandro Dell 'Acqua. To me, it looks like ocean liner from Barbie in Titanic. The pink is horrendous and I have a feeling that it weighs as much as a Titanic. Oh yeah, so avoid the shoes when you go on a cruise or to the beach. It sure will drown you.

The next one is kinda expected especially when its from Alexander Mcqueen! I mean, you can only expect over the top drama from Alexander Mcqueen. The shoes look like they are meant to be placed in the showcase at the Ancient Civilisation Museum or something. Its definitely a killer to walk in them. And do you know what else it reminds me of? The geisha shoes in Memoirs of a Geisha, the scene where Ziyi Zhang danced on the stage! Somehow the shoes give me that oriental vibe.
Now, this Giuseppe Zanotti heels are for the lady architects as this shoe is known as the architectural shoe. Its quite nice for the fact that is clean lines and a nice beige color. However, I wonder if there is any support for the wearer! I wonder...
Red thigh high platform shoes are not for the everyday women. It is for that superheroine, maybe Wonder Woman's classmate? And the designer remains a mystery too...hmm...Bare beauty. I do watch that show on Arts Central at times and I wonder if the next pair of shoes should be featured in it. After all, its a bare naked women at the heels. Then again, I think not since it doesn't quite fall into the category of beauty. More like barely there!
And the next few pictures will show you shoes by Prada. The first one I like. The diamonds on the heels. Fabulous! Reminds me of Louboutin! The rest of the shoes that you are about to see, I have no idea why they are created, especially the last one. The grotesque purple flower heels which at first, I thought was heel stuck in dog-poo, is totally horrendous. The others are still bearable or perhaps, even wearable! What do you think?

The following few are from Miu Miu. The Second one, the baby blue diamante heels are quite nice actually, but it takes some time to get used to it. Although, I think, if you were to look at it even longer, you might just find it a little bit too gawdy. The tea cup heels, on the other hand, are pretty cute. It looks like its from some fairy tale! Its a fantasy shoe! Nice to look at but maybe not too practical to wear. The rest of the shoes, well, I just don't know what's happening with them.

Christian Dior, what do you first think of? Sophistication and elegance? Perhaps, until you look at this slingback. As a whole, it looks classy enough but the heels are just weird. Yes, they do look lavish and luxurios but I just don't get the heels at all. I am not sure if Marc Jacobs was drunk when he got this shoe into production or it simply is just a reject cause isn't the heel attached at the wrong place?
While Marc Jacobs isn't sure where to place the heels, I wonder if the designer for the next shoe, whoever he or she is, forgot to place the soles. Hmmm...
Since everyone seems to be making mistakes with heels, Antonio Berardi thought that he can make no mistake when the shoes just don't have heels! Well, think again Antonio! Perhaps, he wanted ladies to have that feeling of walking on air in his shoes! Apparently, Victoria Beckham ordered a pair for herself! She doesn't need this shoes to be walking on air. With that stick figure, I am sure she can just flies off anytime she wants!
So, you have seen a few weird and a couple of nice heeled shoes. Which do you prefer or do you have anything else to add to this selection? By the way, some of the pictures are from Fashion Police. You can find their website under links!
